Hoping you could add something of a setting or configuration where we could add a specific business hours where the chat would be active and beyond that the away message would be the default message when a client tries to contact via the channels

We have incorporated this feature into v8.0 Workflows Release.
Respond.io’s Workflows offer numerous possibilities for sending an Away Message. Workflows are advanced automation triggered when a Contact starts a new Conversation with you.
The following Away Message use cases are now supported:
- Send a Simple On/Off Away Message for Business
- Send Away Messages When Agents are Offline
- Send An Away Message Outside of Business Hours
- Send Away Messages When a Dedicated Agent is Unavailable

They should automate messages at specific non-working hours, so they don't have to be changing the away message

The away message should be per channel, not general. It is not ok to ask a whatsapp customer for his contact details while we already have them, nor have the away message be sent while we are online.. I think each channel deserves its own settings

The away message is working even when we are online. it must only work once we are offline/ away and not available.
Also, a suggestion to add Away status to the agent status.

Enable option for the message to be automatically displayed outside of service hours.
It would be required to be able to define the hours and days of service
