Right now, users can assign multiple Tags to multiple Contacts. This action has proven to be very useful in managing Contacts. However, users cannot remove multiple Tags from multiple Contacts. Especially if the user still wants to maintain the Tag within the workspace. Delete a Tag would remove from all Contacts with that Tag, however, if the user still wants to maintain some Contacts with that Tag, this action is not relevant to them.

Other than assigning multiple Tags to multiple Contacts, allow removing Tags from multiple Contacts as well so as to keep the Tag in the workspace, but only to remove it from some Contacts.
