While Respond AI supports customer conversations across platforms, it lacks a product-savvy AI Agent capable of acting as a true Product Specialist.
Currently, there is no seamless, intelligent way for the AI to access Shopify product data in real time, understand product details, or guide customers through product discovery and purchase decisions. This limitation results in missed opportunities for engagement, increased workload for human agents, and a less personalized shopping experience. Without a product-aware AI Agent, businesses risk dropping the ball when customers ask critical pre-purchase questions like, “What’s the difference between X and Y?” or “Do you have this in blue?”
Desired Outcome:
An AI Agent type — Product Specialist — powered by Shopify integration. This agent should fetch real-time product data from Shopify (e.g., variants, images, pricing, descriptions, tags), respond to customer inquiries with accurate and contextual product information, and make personalized product recommendations. It should also be able to clarify specs, compare products, highlight bestsellers, and even surface upsell/cross-sell options. Ideally, it should be aware of inventory levels (if “Stock Check” agent is enabled), and guide customers to checkout or share cart links.
Use Case (Capture and Convert)
This feature brings high impact to both Capture and Convert phases:
  • Capture phase: The AI becomes your frontline expert, answering exploratory questions like “What’s a good beginner drone?” or “Which lipstick is vegan and lasts 12 hours?” This builds trust and keeps the conversation going.
  • Convert phase: It removes friction at decision points — guiding shoppers to the right variant, reminding them of items left in the cart, or suggesting bundles and promotions. All without needing human intervention.
