Messages: Close Conversations in Bulk

Business Problem
Currently, users are forced to close conversations individually, which is a slow, repetitive, and labor-intensive process. For organizations dealing with high message volumes, this manual requirement creates a significant bottleneck.
When large volumes of conversations are left open due to the time required to clear them, it results in:
- Inbox Overload: Relevant, active conversations are buried under "stale" or resolved chats, reducing agent productivity.
- Operational Fatigue: Supervisors spend hours on manual "inbox cleanup" instead of focusing on team performance and strategy.
Desired Outcome
To introduce a Bulk Close functionality within the Messages module. This feature will allow users to select multiple conversations simultaneously—or apply filters to a specific segment—and close them all with a single action.

As a high-volume sales team, we often have hundreds of open conversations that no longer require action but remain open because there is currently no way to bulk close conversations.
A bulk close feature would be particularly valuable for:
Unassigned conversations
Old conversations with no recent activity
Conversations filtered by tags, lifecycle stage, or date range
Post-broadcast clean-up where many contacts reply but do not require ongoing engagement
This would help teams maintain a clean inbox, improve reporting accuracy, reduce admin time, and allow agents to focus on active opportunities rather than manually closing conversations one by one.
Ideally, users could:
Select multiple conversations and close them in bulk
Bulk close all conversations matching a filter/search
Apply a closing reason when bulk closing
Restrict the feature via user permissions
For larger teams using respond.io as a primary CRM and communication platform, this would be a significant productivity improvement.

You can't do mass closures or closures of several messages at the same time, it's not practical to close message by message when done manually, you can add the option of selecting several messages and being able to close them.

Also allocate in bulk. When you make labels or “labels” in the life cycle and create a label to filter in the inbox, there should be a way for that label to be selected as a bulk select and to be able to assign randomly to all those people who are, for example, on a waiting label in a life cycle.

Support for bulk actions on the Messages module: Select all or multiple messages to close conversation, assign to user, snooze etc

This is a no brainer. Manychat does this. This is supposed to be a management tool and inbox, bulk editing is an obvious default feature. Very disappointing

Hello 👋, we want to share some operational needs to optimize the management of our conversations and contacts on the platform.
We currently require mass actions such as:
1 ️ krav Conversations
Open conversations that are closed.
Change the status of several conversations at the same time (open or closed).
2 ️ krav Assignments
Assign multiple conversations to a single assignee.
Redistribute bulk conversations to different team members.
3 ️ krav Contacts
Assign the same label to several customers.
Define the same life cycle for several customers.
Assign the same country, language or state to multiple contacts.
Massively unify contacts in the same channel.
👉 These functions would facilitate the efficient administration of large volumes of contacts and conversations, avoiding manual management one by one.
