I would like to be able to track the Website Chat interactions on my website using Google Analytics.

Some of the events that i would like to track are Chat Window opened, Chat Window closed etc.

This should use Google Tag Manager Data Layers.

It would be useful to track chat interactions to better understand user usage and to be able to provide better support and pre-sales service. It would be great to be able to track even events like these:
-Chat Started
-Chat ended
-Prechat form submitted 
-Offline chat submit
